6Th gen Steering Wheel Swap?

i know the 6th gen and the 7th gen have a good amount of interchangeable parts. but i was just wondering, is it possible to swap out the 6th gen steering wheel with a 7th gen? i would only do it because i love how the 7th gen SS steering wheels have the SS right in the middle or i might even just swap it with just the bowtie. i feel my steering wheel is a little plain. anyone know a way to spice it up? any good steering wheel wraps/covers?

You should be able to swap em id like to do the same on mine its deff too blah looking i think in the 6th gen, youll more than likley have to rewire ur wheel controls though

pretty neat idea. i like my 7th gen SS wheel alot more than my 6th gen one.

I doubt you'll be able to make the controls work still.

That SS is just a domed sticker.

Paint your wheel's bowtie, add a cover, you'll be happy :)

yeah the controls are very different. hmm maybe! i tried painting the bowtie once and i failed miserably. you have a pretty sweet cover right? any idea where to get a good one? i just wished they would of spiced it up a little. i like the 2012 chevy models with the neat bowtie on the steering wheel.

I got my cover from PFYC.com, wheelskin.

If you look at the examples they have on their site you'll see my car ;)

I used "3D Paint" (aka Puffy Paint) from a local craft store to paint my Chevy Bow Tie. Easy to do. FYI - I found squirting some of that paint on a piece of cardboard and using a toothpick as a paint brush worked great (took three coats to get the right look). Pic below.

I have a black/gray Pace Car wheel. If I was unable to get it, Wheelskin was the next best thing.

Take it apart. Paint it. Put it back together!
