It really is funny to me too, between those seats and my stearing wheel. Most people seem to like a good looking car, but I always wanted mine to have power before it had looks. Now, I'm trying to make the Monte look like it could have come this way from the factory (minus the engine).

Keep up the good work. It's nice seeing people doing different things to our Montes.

The seats in the pic are specifically from a Turbo Grand Prix. There's 2 versions of those seats, there's the standard ones and then there's the AQ9's which are better padded. Here's some pics of the seats in a 1994 Cutlass Supreme

Mind you, white was a rare color. They were usually charcoal, which gets called "black" but is not the same black found in the last 3 generations of Monte Carlo.

BTW, I noticed you were in MD. What yards do you go to?

I feel you man, I want to give some extra kick but almost everything I want to do cost thousands of dollars that I don't have lol. And then on top of that eventually I want to make it RWD. Thanks again for the help.

Yeah, technically the black in my Z34 is a dark charcoal, but as long as I can find a black center console I'll be happy lol.

Mainly I just go to crazy ray's (Elkridge, Mt. Airy, & Baltimore) but there's one in Clarksville I have yet to go to to find the wheels I'm looking for and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. I haven't been to the Baltimore ones in a while but the Elkridge location has the biggest selection of 5th gen montes and 3.8Ls in general IMO.

I've never heard of one in Clarksville. I know the one all the way out at Edgewood but never heard of Clarksville.

I made a junkyard run about 2 weeks ago and I've found Hawkins point is no longer the best one. It used to be filled with all sorts of GM cars but it seems that's no longer the case. They're moving up to late 90's early 2000s cars. It used to be that you could find 80's and early 90's stuff there but I feel they're trying to make that yard more "upscale" as the cars are no longer on the ground but rather on steel wheels to make it easier to drop the engine.

Jessup is so/so. Feels more disorganized than anything.

Now my question is how good is Mt. Airy? I've always heard about that yard but I need to find a Cutlass Supreme to restore mine (and technically you want to find a Cutlass Supreme convertible since those had the quad buckets in "charcoal") .

Glory Days auto parts is in Clarksville; I want to go there to see what they have. Right now I'm trying to find either C6 corvette rims or '96 Impala SS rims and if I find them in good shape in a junkyard it's going to be a lot cheaper than buying repros on top of buying wheel adaptors and brand new tires. What's the name of the yard in Edgewood?

Yeah I was at the Jessup one a few weeks ago and they're moving everything around so it's really disorganized right now.

Mt. Airy in my opinion they're better in general. Monte Carlo wise it's scarce; fair amount of late model Impalas though. As for a Cutlass Supreme I wouldn't go there unless you're close by. I haven't been there lately but every time I've been up there I've never seen any.

Edgewood is Crazy Ray's. Good luck with that find. You're better off searching craigslist for C6 wheels than a yard. You can find those for $400-$600 BUT you'll probably have to get new tires for em as well. I know MD shops are pretty cheap when it comes to used tires, for 18, they should be going $50 a pop. I get my tires used in MD (I live in DC) for $40 each, mounted but I have 16's.

If you go to Glory Days or any other yard for that matter, can you do me the favor and see if they have any Cutlass Supremes from 1988-1994? I need trim for my vert but it's hard to find any Cutlass Supreme nowadays.

Yeah I found a set of all black C6 rims for about 400 but they ended up selling out. I was plaining on going with all black C6 wheels and paint the Corvette symbol red, but I found a set of '96 SS rims for about 432 and some change; which I think is the route I'm gonna end up going. It'll be the more expensive route but at least I'll know everything is in good shape.

Yeah man I'll definitely keep an eye out for you. I'm not sure when the next time I'll make it somewhere will be but I'll definitely keep an eye out for any that I see and let you know.

Thanks, I appreciate it. If you find a 7th gen M/C with black leather seats, please tell me. I want the rear seats and I'm not willing to pay more than $80 for that. I'm willing to pull myself, but to drive all over Maryland for a pair of seats isn't worthwhile.
