2006 Best Speakers

For everyone that's got a 7th gen with a good set of speakers, what are you running and how do you like it? Also looking at how much our stock headset can actually handle speaker-wise, possibly looking at Pioneer G series for fronts and A series for the rears.

Any suggestions???

anyone?

I just installed Rockford Punch P1s in the front and rear, they have a good sound, but it seems like the stock unit/amp doesn't really put out as much as they can handle. Looks like I'm gonna have to get a new head unit. What kind of headlights are those in your avatar, and how do you like them? That's my next project.

They're Anzo Angel Eye projectors. I like them a lot, especially the light output and just the overall way they look at night. However, I am having an issue with them peeling. I think it's because my car sat out 24/7 this whole summer. I've currently got a post going here:

search around, there's been a lot of threads on the speakers in our cars and replacements.

Speaker mostly personal preference & budget, I just installed JL Audio C5-525 components in the door and C2-690TX for rear fill, $429 from Sonicelectronics.com. I love them, have a JVC Arsenal head end, the 22RMS isn't enough power for me. Sounds great just need an amp to get the sound quality I want. Also have a JL 13W6 in the trunk.

Have had good luck with Polk and Alpine as well, but prefer JL.

Good luck, and if you are DIY then search the threads for the rear speaker install, there are nice how too's.

he's on the stock headunit... he's going to need 2 ohm speakers and low wattage.

your best bet is to get a new headunit and then get the speakers off an amp

if you want sound quality i recommend doing 2 sets of speakers along with 4 channel amp. bargin brands you could get a lower end kicker alpine or rockford speaker and be plenty happy of you could spend 200+ on a pair of components and get quality and power
