2003 Vanity visor mirrors are hot. Draining battery...

Im having a power drain on my 03 monte carlo SS high sport. My new battery was going dead in a short time. I bought this car brand new and its never been a problem before. I found the visor mirrors to be so hot and think thats the problem. Is there a single fuse i can pull to cut off the juice to these things? Thanks for your help.

Any ideas?

I have zero idea what would make the mirrors hot unless the lights are active when they shouldn't be. As for cutting the power to them, you should be able to check the fuse panel info (might be labeled "courtesy"). If they lights are active for no reason, that is most likely your battery drain.

Thing about it is the lights arent on and the surface of the glass is very hot. Id take out the bulbs but im thinking the problem is in the wiring before the visors.
ill take a look at the courtesy fuse and see what lighting that includes... hate to loose all the interior lighting just because of that. Cars in great shape with low miles. So i dont want to do things that will hurt other systems.

Only other suggestion I could give is unscrew the visor from the roof, lower it a little and disconnect it. But it still leaves the question, why is it getting hot to begin with.

You have a short somewhere in the circuit.

I have a 2001 Monte Carlo and it keeps overheating. I thought it was because one of the cooling fans was faulty so I replaced the whole assembly.

are you getting circulation in the radiator? In reality the car doesnt rely on yhe fans when rolling down the road. There only used when stationary.
