2001 Monte Carlo stereo harness wiring guide?

I have an 01 Monte Carlo I purchased where the previous owner removed the factory stereo and cut the factory male harness off. I need to splice a new harness on which I have acquired but I’m struggling figuring out the wiring. I have found a website that says what it is and a forum post on here saying which wires are what for an 01 but they have conflicting information and I’m gonna be taking a soldering iron to this so I really don’t wanna mess it up. Thanks

So you are trying to splice a GM factory radio harness back on? If so, then you should just have to match the wires 1-for-1. If this is some aftermarket replacement harness, then things are a little different.
I hate that people cut factory harnesses when for YEARS inexpensive adapters are available.

its a copy of the GM factory harness, same design but it has the modern standard colour coding for the wires so some of the colours won’t match(I know for a fact the positive power cable is two different Colours) so yea I need a good reliable wiring diagram so nothing gets mis spliced

So, I know they make a female harness so you can tie it together with your radio harness and now have a plug and play connector/adapter for the factory connector. Is this the female connector you are trying to re-install to replace the one someone cut off or a male connector? I did not know that one made a replacement for that.

Just to ensure we are talking the same thing..... If you are trying to hard wire the connector below into the car to replace the one someone cut out of the car, this is not the correct connector (this is what I mentioned, used to mate with the radio and then plug into the car).
