2000 LS odometer screen blank....

I would like to start by thanking everyone and the admin for the site. I have use these forums and many like it for a long time but never had the need to join since many ppl had already posted stuff about the problems i was having. In saying that however, I have now come across an issue that I can find anywhere on any forums or anywhere else. I bought my wife a 2000 monto carlo ls with a 3.4 v6 a few months back. All gauges work fine all interior lights work just fine just the odometer is not coming on at all. It was not working when we got the car and I rather hoped it was just a simple fuse or something. No luck with fuses and no obvoiuse(or however that is spelled) wires cut or cracking. Any help would be excellent. Thanks

Dim or blank odometer is typically bad solder joints and/or fried power inductors on the cluster PCB

If you aren't up to repairing it yourself, I offer cluster repair services... Send me an email ( sales@bbengineer.com ) if you are interested

Thanks everyone I will more than likely end up sending it in once I get money saved back up. Just had to do rear struts and now about to replace CV joints and axels. trewyn15 nice car I was just looking at your youtube vids on that car the other day with my wife. Hers is red as well I was telling her I could black out her lights but she wasn't sure if she would like it. After seeing yours she is all about it. More work for me to do eventually haha.
