Default 12 Disc Changer Question

I replaced the stock Monsoon system in my Z28 and was wondering if the Factory 12 Disc Changer would work in my 04 Monte SS? Does the Monte have a CD Changer harness already wired like the Z28 does? I plan on giving my son the SS when he is old enough, he is 14 now.

If not I will box up the Monsoon set and store it just in case.

Im not sure but I dont think it has one, you would probably have to get an aftermarket headunit. And I love the cars, your sig is HUGE though.

Thanks, The only problem is the Factory 12 Disc that was in the Z28 will only work on a factory HU. I guess it goes into storage and I put in a new aftermarket system, which is not a problem

I also reduced the size of the sig pictures, sorry about that.

I was thinking the same thing with this single CD player in the MC, it would be awesome to go to a salvage yard and snag a CD changer like in the back of my 99 TA.

I also am planning on giving my MCSS to my son when he reaches driving age although he has about 3.5 years to go.

Nice to know all my thoughts aren't insane

Here are mine...

I will pull the HU on the MCSS tomorrow and check it out. I will also look for a wiring harness for a changer.

Those are some nice looking F and G Bodies there

Cool, I'm interested to hear how it turns out.
I don't want to change the HU in the MC because of the stering wheel controls and the programing thru the radio of options.

Back at there, nice rides.

I am not 100% Sure but I think the aftermarket ones broadcast over a FM Station. At least the one I had years ago did. The factory one is controlled by the Factory HU

I think if the HU cant handle changing the cd itself, could you get a changer that mounts in the dask with conrol buttons on it. We have one in the escalade and it works great, only 6 though.
Oh and its cold in Nebraska isnt it.
