06 - Installing New Sound system

So I finally bought my first Monte about a month ago. Its been my dream car my entire life. I would have liked to have gotten an older model but I just don't have the time or money for that kind of restoration right now so I decided on an 06 LS.

I am very happy with the car so far. Its smooth, sharp, and fun to drive. But it needs a new sound system. I already have an amp and sub-woofers that I am taking out of my old truck.

I guess I am just wondering what size speakers do I need and what other audio equipment would you suggest. Also, if anyone has any tips for getting to the speakers/stereo, wiring and such I would appreciate the advice very much.

idk much about the 7th gen monte. i'm a 6yth gen my self and ive done tons of work on it, so i know it inside and out but the 7th gen is a little different in many small annoying ways lol i think for the most part speakers size is the same, 6.5" 2 piece component set in the doors and 6x9 in the rear deck. uhm idk to recommend you, i suggest you read a few threads on this first page, theirs a nice useful one i think it was called 6.5" speakers or something, i posted in their about allota brands, if you wanna read about some brands, but most that stuff was higher end stuff. by chance you from the PA area? or NJ area ;) i miight be able to help ya if you are :)
