06-07 SS Stock Radio Help!
 

I'm wondering from all you 06-07 SS owners out there...what's the stock sound system like? I know the 6th gens got the premium Bose systems and they sound phenominal, in my opinion. But I haven't heard anything from the 7th gens.

I ask because I have an '06 LT with the base, single disc mp3, etc. I really like the clean, stock look and really don't want to break that look apart with an aftermarket radio. Would it be worth finding an SS system with the disc changer and throwing in some new speakers or is it really not any better? I know it's all a matter of opinion but I'm curious.

Any help you guys can give is really appreciated!

I love how my 6-disc stock radio sounds. I wouldn't trade it for anything aftermarket. Keep in mind they aren't "brand name," but the same year Impala's have very similar systems and they're made by Bose. Also, if you're going to do the swap, there is a stock amplifier in our trunk between the two 6x9 speakers. I think it would be a good swap.
