my 2.25 in exhaust give it more sound? say like 3in tips?

I don't think the tips will do much if anything for sound, but they'll look better :thumbsup:

I don't think it would give it more sound but depending on the tip it may change the sound a bit.

Some tips are resonated and will effect the tone and will not make them louder

Yea most tips are just for looks as others stated

My tips made it a tad deeper, nothing crazy though. 3.5 inch rolled tips 9" length (if memory serves).

Like everyone else said, it's mostly for looks. However the sound change is preferable.
