what muffler should i get for a 3.4?

im going to autozone today to get a new muffler, and they sell 1 type of flowmaster in stock... would it sound good? just a muffler... would it sound any better with just a muffler?

Well we don't know what series of Flowmaster it is. Look on YouTube for sound clips. Also, with your engine, I'm guessing the 60 series would sound the best. It's made for 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Perhaps a muffler and a resonator delete would sound nice. Who knows?

well i leave in 4 days for college, and i need to buy one today sooo... how r glasspacks? will that sound good?

I have Magnaflows on my car, and they sound good!

I would NOT remove the resonator on that engine lol

i dont see why not? i have a 05 MC 3.4 LS with the single dualed out with a Y-pipe, 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers, resonator delete, and dual outlet 3" stainless steel tips and it sounds NICE, deep rumble at idle and when you get on it its a lil high pitched but its not ricey at all, but i must say my setup is loud, how i like it ;) so if you go with a single flowmaster muffler with the resonator still on (which was my very first setup) it sounds nice and simple, but if you want tone resonator delete and dual setup is the way to go

just cause we have the 3400 motor doesnt mean we cant do what we would do with the 3800 SS, at least we'll still take out all the 1.8's out there ;) but watch out for the 2.0 k20z3 whether you have an SS or not :D

here you go, dual flow 40's with no resonator on 3.4 LS, nice sound hope this helps, check it

if you wanna know what it sounds like single with resonator, just take about half that tone, still sounds good

P.S. THAT IS NOT MY MONTE, its just a monte i found when i was thinkin bout dualing the exhaust out that helped me with the decision, if you want vids of mine then i'll take some

im gettin 2 things more done to my monte and im postin a gallery of it, i want monte of the month in october, trust me, i'm holdin :D ;)
