i personally dont think they work on anything except for carborated engine's, i've had them, and didn't notice anything from them

some people say they work, but one guy i talked to put one on and a cold air intake, and he said he noticed a difference...but of course he is, because he put the cold air intake on

For a carbed engine, yes they do work simply because of the increased time the fuel has to diffuse with the air, on an efi system, nothing should happen because your just moving the TB an inch. I cant see anything good happening unless of course the spacer has a port for NOS.. lol

It's suposed to add volume to the intake manifold. I've seen them work on carbed engines, never seen it work on a stockEFI engine, but I think you are right as far as working with other mods, like bigger throttle bodies etc..
Just my $.02

On a NA car they really won't do anything. On the supercharged cars they can help if port matched properly. The supercharge heats up the throttle body and with the spacer in place it won't heat it up.

Hello Everyone,
The TBS shouldnt show much difference over stock in a EFI application...
The reason that is , is because a TBS is disigned for carberated engines, The idea is to get the carb away from the hot engine and manifold...Getting space between the carb and engine helps because if the carb doesnt get as hot as it would in stock applications then the air and fuel in the carb are being delevered into the engine at cooler temps...at the end of the day we all want colder air and colder fuel being shot into our motor...
On EFI this shouldnt make a difference...

This is right on the money with what I said with NA but explained much better.

The superchargers heat up to about 350* and that heats up the Throttle Body soaks that up. The TB spacer on a Supercharged engine allegedly takes the brunt and keeps the TB cooler. There are some infrared pics on the ZZP website that show this.

I don't know how much it helps or hinders though. If it is port matched correctly it should work great, if it is a little off it may hamper getting air into the supercharger and become a bottleneck.
