Default throttle body

hey i was wondering i'm looking to get a throttle body soon and don't know if i should go with the northstar , or the high velocity one that zz performance sells. whats the difference between the two besides the obvious of one is ported 72mm and the other like 75mm. anyone here have any reviews on either?

as a side note.. i don't have a ported supercharger.. so i know that the inlet of the super charger is only 72mm.. while the northstar outlet is like 75mm so i won't take advantage of the extra 3mm

are you going to port? or get a gen v? if not I'd go with high velocity stage 2. N* would be pointless without upgraded blower imo

northstar if you are going to modify heavily and need to run a different MAF

HVTB if you are just doing basic mods

my mods right now are 180 t stat
xp cam
p log
dyno tyne
full exhaust
colder plugs
zz intake
down pipe
short stack inter cooler
pcm
3.25 pully
double roller timeing chain
machined waterpump or something like that

and next month i have to get bigger injectors because i'm running 97% on them now. and i still have room to drop another size or two in pullys because its no knock

I got hardly any gain from my ZZP stage 2 TB. Go N* or stay stock.

You may want to consider porting the heads.

get your stock one ported.. from what I hear the Northstars seem to be overly touchy and feel like you're going 1/2 to full throttle from just touching the pedal, lots of people don't like that and I can see it negatively affecting your mpg
