thinking of an exhaust upgrade
 

first timer here so be easy lol

I am thinking about upgrading my exhaust on my o6 monte carlo which has the 3500 v6 in it. I am not sure what to get or whats availiable for my model really.

I have had nothing done to the car i got it back in october so is this a good first mod.

You can either go custom or Magnaflow does make a catback system. Are you wanting dual exhaust, orstay with single or what? I say go with dual exit looks a lot better. For custom catbackyou can go with any muffler. Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Dynomax, Borla. Borla and Flowmaster is probably about the best of the 2 sounds. Borla is more expensive, but great sound. I have just Flowmaster's Delta Flow 40's and I love it. Dynomax andMagnaflow are pretty quiet. What I would say todo if you don't want to spend a lot of money get 2 Flowmaster, have an exhaust shop y out the back, 3.5" tips, resonator delete. Hope that helps. What I plan on doing is a custom catback in the summer. 2.5" all the way back, res. delete, back to 2 Borla Pro XS mufflers adn 3.5" tips

i was thinking about going to a dual i too love the look of them. thanks for the info. i probably wont get it done until; spring so it gives me a bit of time to save up.

personally,i like my straight pipes... stock cat and a glasspack where the resonator used to be.
