Straight Pipe/o2 Sensor
 

Ive been reading up on everyones posts as far as replacing the stock exhaust. I am going to replace everything, but my one question is when i replace the u-bend with a straight pipe. afte it is replaced where does the 02 sensor go? How is it installed

the simpel answer is it is not put back in

you put a O2 sensor simulator in its place. it will make the car think the O2 sensor is there and it is working well.
So your car wont know anydiffrent.

or if you have emisions testing they can mount the O2 bung sideways so it fits

yah, make sure they put it back in....even if you sell the vehicle at some point and it has to pass emmissions for the guy that buys it from you...if it has to pass emmissions for him, he's gonna spend hundreds trying to figure out whats going on...

all that they do is weld and o2 bung into the straight pipe...very easy job :)

now tha ti have gone threw the inspection here I figure im going to start savin for me down pipe but i plan to have the bung welded in to it. JUST IN CASE.
I twould be my luck right after i get it doen i will go in for inspect and they will check for that damed thignand i would get the fine LOL
my main deal is to ge tthe preformance but also to get rid of teh U bend there.
