Painting Headers?

My headers are showing some rust, and I would like to take them off and paint them this winter. Are there any paints out there that can withstand the heat from headers? Such as BBQ Grill paint of something? I plan on doing black.

I painted my headers back in the day and used hi temp 1200 degree paint. I didn't have any problems with the paint chipping/peeling or anything. I didn't use black though, I used metallic silver so that it closely matched the original heat resistant coating.

I used Duplicolor ceramic header paint earlier this summer and so far it seems to be holding up well. I have used BBQ paint in the past on manifolds and that lasted 6-7 years and still looked fine when I took them off in favour of the headers.

I usually use John Deere exhaust paint. Get it at a local impliment store. Goes on nice and smooth. Can be put on rather thick and havn't had an issue with rusting or chipping yet.

Thanks guys. I found some 1500 degree exhaust paint at O'Reilys last weekend. I'll let you know how it works.
