Pacesetters???

ok, im itching to put headers on my car, and pacesetters seem to be a way better deal than anything i've seen out there. Does anyone have them on their car? And is the deal too good and you get what you pay for? also do they have the setup for the EGR because i cant tell from the pics. thanks to anyone who knows

RE: Pacesetters???

my main intention upon logging on tonight was the same question, because i want these headers. found a video on youtube of a V6 camaro that has the 3800 series II in it, has a great setup. so good, im actually gonna steal it if feedback from anyone out there says they are great headers. incase you wanna hear the soundclip, here's a link to the video. this video is the only reason i've wanted these headers for about 2 months now! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YfZ2...eature=related

I also have been looking for a set for my monte carlo. The big thing i have heard is how they are prone to cracking? I have heard that about most headers though, so, I guess. I have hear too they dont give you as much of a gain as other headers but if your on a pinch for money, they are worth it.

RE: Pacesetters???

Well, today i went to my local performance auto parts store, been going there for a few years, they been around since 1962. I was gonna order my pacesetter headers and they told me that they no longer do business with pacesetter. Not because its a bad header or anything, but because they had almost everyone who ordered one for their car regardless of which make it was for, say that they would never align right with the bolts. So in short, they would not fit on the car. they took back 10 sets of headers and then called off business with them. Sucks, because i really REALLY want them. but im not gonna waste my money either. SLP headers for our cars go for about 775 bucks. Huge difference from the 375 i was gonna pay for the pacesetters. Maybe we can get SLP to do a group buy?!?!? that'd be nice.

RE: Pacesetters???

I dunno i have actually installed a pair of pacesetters on a v6 camaro and they are totally different but they fit great except for the Y pipe which was no big deal. And my other friend had had a pair on his 98 lS1 camaro and now has them on his Trans Am and i helped put them on and they fit just about perfectly. But ya i wish there was someone out there with a set on a monte. i joined club gp(someof those guys run pacesetters)but everytime i ask something and say i have a monte they move the thread to the monte topic which only has 2 posts and never gets read by anyone, so the relationship between me and them leaves a lot to be desired

How about " the other guys" headers on PFYC website? Anyone know anything about them?

pacesetter quality sucks around the Y collector. togs used to be much better quality before they split up.
