$440 from 3800 Performance. Fogot the shipping but much better customer support.

Also it is a very to easy bolt in 2 1/4" exhaust. Takes about 2 hours or so if doing it in the garage with home tools. May be faster if you have a grinder to get rid of stuck bolts.

Made a mistake on the price too. It's $430 at 3800 Performance.

It's cheaper at Summit Racing and I think its around $370 or so there? I just saw it a few days ago but can't remember.

ORIGINAL: SuperDan

im new to the forum and also new to the whole monte thing. i have an 04 supercharged ss. i was wondering if i could put a u bend delete and a high flow cat on and keep the stock exhaust? if i did this would my check engine light come on? or if i cant do this, what exhaust do you guys suggest? i want something that sounds mean when i get on it, but not an annoying loud hum when im on the freeway. would the slp exhaust do this? thank you in advance for all of your help!
I've done the ubend delete, no cel. I don't have a high flow cat though but I wouldn't imagine that would cause a cel either so I'd say yes you can do that without throwing a cel and can still keep the stock exhaust. But why would you want the stock exhaust if you're doing all that to free up flow in the exhaust system? I'd say get a DynoMax exhaust, I have dual DynoMax superturbo mufflers on my car and I love it! It's noticeable but not obnoxious.

how do you get rid of your resonator without buying a new exhaust?

all you have to do to get rid of a resonator is go to an exhuast shop, have them cut it out and weld in a piece of pipe, or like the dynomax catback has in, maybe a glasspack in there. while you're at it, have them cut the u bend out if you haven't already.

Wouldn't it be better to go for a 3" exhaust system?

Yeah, if you have FI, if not, 2.25 is more than enough.
