Whats the 5.0.?
I'm confused by it... only ford has a 5.0.. Unless it means something else.. What are you hopeing to accomplish with the exhaust system? Do you just want people to hear you/it? Generally... Its personal Preferance, and how much $$$$ you want to spend.. Theres a variety of configuration on yout tube if you want to know what they sound like.. Most... Don't race a 305.. There not known for there performance.. That model year was more designed for fuel economy back then. But you could use true duals with an X pipe and get more torque out of it.. Those motors thrive on back pressure.. My suggestion is to NOT use headers unless your building the heck out of the motor. But if its a "stock" 305 headers will not do you any good performance wise as they do not provide the back pressure needed for a stock motor. Its been my experience..If you just want it to make some decent sound.. I would go true duals,X pipe and cherry bomb glass packs with tail pipes. Youll be amazed as how it sounds and gets on down the road providing the correct back pressure for improved performance and sound.:) |
Stumpmi GM had lots of 5.0 liter engines any thing between 301- 307 cubic inches. So technically Chevrolet had two 5.0 liter engines the 307 in the early 70's that was a 283 large journal block with a large journal 327 crank and in the late 70's came the 305. But Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac all have 5.0's also
