mufflers

hi I was looking for guidance on when I'm putting aftermarket mufflers on my 2003 Monte Carlo SS, do I need the off set Inlets or centered or does it even matter? and the inlet is 2.5" correct. Thanks for the help

Somewhat depends on your muffler/ tip choice. As long as you don't pick something enormous, then it doesn't really matter (as aftermarket mufflers are generally smaller than OEM since they're generally not intended to quiet as well). If the muffler you like has an option for offset inlet, I'd definitely buy that instead though as it lets you get away with a bit less of a bend coming into it. But I wouldnt discount a muffler you really like if it doesn't have an offset inlet option. Always a good idea to crawl under the back for a minute with a tape measure once you figure out dimensions of the muffler / tip you want to be 100% sure.

The Y pipe stuff should be 2.25". Like above though, if the muffler you have your heart set on only offers 2.5, then thats ok. It's just a simple adapter on each inlet to mate things up.

I notice magnaflo sounds the best for or cars imo but it depends on what you like
