can someone post a pic of that stuipd u bend exhaust system that chevy put on our cars? im tryin my best to describe it to a friend of mine but i cant find a decent pic to prove my point

there is an 02 sensor in this u-bend, but it can be replaced in
the straight pipe

well actually i was talkin about the ubend that goes from the front manifold over the tranny into the back manifold haha, i dunno why but my car doesnt have this thank god and if it does its gonna be gone but i could swear ive never seen it there.


so to be more specific i want a pic of the exhaust manifolds on the engine and the u bend it does to connect together

no the ubend is after the cat convertor, it doesn't connect to the manifold...there is a down pipe off the manifold that comes accross the egine then down to the convertor, then the u-bend, then the resonator, then out

 

 

This might sound stupid but why does GM put the u-bend there in the first place?????????????

 

actually on my car its like this, the front manifold comes down then juts to the right bends up over the transmission, then bends back to the left and bolts to the rear manifold making a U shape. thats why im calling it a u bend. sorry for the confusion.

 

my guess would be they put it there for the same reason they put a plastic flywheel on my car, cos some idiot thought it was a good idea
