Just installed Super 44's

Finally decided to install some mufflers and judging by Youtube the 44's were the way to go. The bad thing is that they are not loud enough, At start-up they sound great, almost v8-ish then it mellows out where the rad fan can drone it out. Iv'e been reading that there might be a "break-in" period so that's what I'm hoping now.

I haven't driven it far enough to heat them up but after a quick trip they do tend to be a bit louder.

My only other option is to remove the resonator and see if that helps out. I'll try to post up a vid tomorrow.

Cant wait to see how they sound

Flowmasters aren't supposed to 'break in' because it's all metal on the inside, not fiberglass like others.

You should look into the SLP Loudmouth II's, they're loud and similar sound to Flowmasters at idle.

A resonator delete can seriously increase the loudness and rumble of the exhaust to a very nice point. I don't experience any cabin drone with my delete and I'm running stock mufflers (as well as a high flow cat).

Post a video im also running a pair of 44s but with a res delete and high flow cat and they're loud

that sounds pretty nice, getting those tips up there looks a bit restrictive tho :p

kingreyna 07-08-2012 05:23 PM

Thats the way they come from factory also. They have a upward bend from stock.

I thought the same about the restriction of the bend....

Do you have any better pics of the mufflers, I would like to see the angle better....

Sounds good
