Default Intake opinions for my 2004 Monte Carlo

I finally want to start doing something with my monte because this whole stay-at-home has me bored. I figured I would start simple with an intake and go from there. I want to slap an aftermarket intake in there but I don't know what kind of air filter to use. I was thinking a short ram or cold air. Is there any specific kits I could use or which ones are the best bang for the buck?

I'm digging the zzp fender well intake. Just have to add a pcm tray to list, and cheaper than the cold air systems. Pass on short ram as the hot air will kill any extra air you'd gain.

I believe he was trying to suggest the one he linked to.

The one thing I'd add buying that is to pick up a piece of ABS plastic to help block off the engine bay side for added protection at keeping the heat away from the filter area.

Interesting. Strange that they dont mention or depict it at all on their site. Seems like it would be a helpful selling feature.

i thought so to, but was very surprised when I found it in box. Come with an IAT sensor extension but I never used it.

Two questions:. How much? Will it fit on my 3400 in my 2005 LS?
