Engine Build: Intake/heads
#2
Hi Gbody, looks like most of the guys on this site have the newer front wheel drive Monte Carlos. But good to see an old school motor. I know Edelbrock Performer heads would be a good combination on your 350, but there are many others available. Might want to check out montecarloss.com as everyone on that site runs G bodies with V-8s. Good luck and show us some photos!

It depends on how much money you want to spend. Any aftermarket heads are great but will cost you. Old school iron heads are the route I choose because I had access too a couple of decent pairs. I built a 400 punched .040 using 5.7 eagle rods using a .487/.508 lift cam, performer eps intake and a 780 holley street avenger. I used Chevrolet over the counter heads 492 which is basically a 1970 350 LT1 head with 64 cc and accessory holes. Any route you take you will have to cut the valve guides with that cam. Anything above .480 lift and you might bind up a spring. Good luck and talk to local engine shops they have great advice and maybe the parts you are looking for you engine.
