Default I need cold air intake for '99 monte LS

I tried searching everywhere for a cold air intake kit for 1999 Monte with no luck. The only one I found is the AFE Cold Air Intake Universal for $375. If someone knows where I can get a cold air intake for the 1999 LS Monte let me know, thanks!

Build your own. Get some flexi tube, a filter, and a battery relocation kit, and put it in the fender well. Or, if you want a CAI box instead- get some plastic, a filter, and some stick on heat reflective material.

battery relocation + FWI = best.

Where do you guys relocate the battery to? I've been planning on doing it, but don't know where it will go?

Trunk. Some replace the spare tire with it.

Why would you relocate the battery to the trunk on a FWD car? I'm curious.

In order to make a CAI on those engines on the 5th gen, you have to relocate the battery somewhere, and the only place is the trunk. or you can actually just remove the bracket and turn the battery sideways, but a relocation is probably the best bet.

The battery is just in the way (it's on the opposite side as ours)

i would also relocate it to the back. it might seem like a hassle, but, it really seems to work the best. plus, if you put subs in its super easy for the amp hookup!

I think it was bumpin' who actually put his in place of the spare tire :P

Either that or he just needed another battery.
