HELP ME PLEASE!!

I have an 03 LS(couldn't afford the SS and still attend college). What can I do to this thing performance wise so I don't feel so bad beacuse I settled for it. I want an intake kit, but which one? I've seen talk on the K&N 63, is it the best one? I also want to put an exhaust, duals would be sweeter, I'm lookin for whatever will give me the best power and throatiness. Which system should I go with on that? Should I start messing around with the mass airflow sensor or get a better ignition system? I would really appreciate all the input

RE: HELP ME PLEASE!!

yea theres a few different ones, the original, delta force, delta flow and the super 40's. Do you have 40's on your whip? Which one of those works best? also i got a guy that can do any type of exhaust for me i just need to tell him what i want. I would like to have duals, being that its an LS i can still put duals on right? I should tell him to take that U-bend out too probably right? Thanks for the help

OK. there is a lot you can do with that engine. if you go to my website, you will find a lot of info on upgrades. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/473859/6

here is what i recomend:
I would do a RSM TB or when DPP re-opens buy theirs.
a good FWI either home made like me or thrasher or wizzard make good ones
Ubend delete if aplicable on your engine not sure 100% if needed for the 3400 but does on the 3800
Exhaust. a lot of people put flowmaster on their cars, but now are switching ot magnaflow's
High flow cat
DHP pcm computer chip. if you feel you are going to keep modding a lot, spend the extra $$$ and buy the power tuner and you can just keep updating your pcm at will.
Im not sure about cam options. some people swap rods and valve springs and better rockers.
also a LSD limited slip Diff will help get more power to the ground...as will the FFP dog bones.

Here are a few sites to get you started.

http://www.donkeypunchperformance.com/ good stuff but site is down until site is rebuilt

RE: HELP ME PLEASE!!

i dont know for sure, but i did hear people got tired of the loudness of the flowmaster 40's maybe a delta 40 would be a better choice, but performance wise, most after market (quality) exhaust is pretty much the same. Im not one for a lot of sound, that is why i got a mr gasket exhaust cutout... with the pull of a cable i can open and close a butterfly valve under the car and completely bypass everything after my cat. or shut it and have my factory exhaust in place. I may end up switching to a high flow cat... but not sure yet.
