headers/exhaust from 80's malibu on 86 SS?
ok my exhaust is garbage, ALL of it. my friend has a 80 somethin 2 door malibu and it has long tube headers and true dual exhaustwith glasspacks run out under the bumper. he said i can have it if i take it off because he got brand new flowmaster exhaust and new headers. im sure i can gt the exhaust to fit, but will the headers fit? i know they will bolt up but idk if they will go around the suspension and frame. i figure its the same because i think they are both g-body (???), or at least on the same frame

yeah they should fit no problem 78-80 are A-body special and 81-88 are G-body but not much changed between the both of them so i would take it and make it work for sure

yeah its like an 85 or something, so i figure it should be fine, just wanted to make sure because its been on the car for a while and im sure it will be fun to take off lol.

it's been a long time sence i have seen a 78-80 A/G-body so i can't 100% but it should fit no problem may be tha system will come up a little to short because the 3rd gens where a little bit shorter car then the 4th gens are but that not a big deal

thanks, ill get some pics and a video of how it sounds when im done. bein to short wont be a big deal because im taking it off in sections so i can just extend with pipe or adapters. im gonna have 3.5" chrome slash cut tips under the bumper, and i might just replace the glasspacks with super 44s
