Flowmaster Mufflers

Ok guys, I decided im not going to go all out and do the exhaust and everything. I am just goingto put in some mufflers. I think I have decided on these: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/40_delta.html

What do you guys think about them?
I do I get the one that fits my car and what kind of shops put them in?
Sorry. I am new to the car scene, so bare with me.

Or these. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/44_super.html

I don't want anything to spectacular, but I want to be able to hear 'em.

get magnaflow mufflers, these chokemasters will cause you to lose hp and torque, your mileage will go down, and all that good jazz.

magnaflow sounds good, is a straight through design that will help everything and wont cause ANY bad side effects at all

RE: Flowmaster Mufflers

I definetly don't need to lose mileage.

Which Magnaflow muffler would you suggest for a 2006 monte carlo LT 3.9?

I want something I can hear, but nothing to much?

Oh, and something that will increase gas mileage, or maybe even keep it the same if thats possible.

RE: Flowmaster Mufflers

Go to Magnaflow.com. They came out with an exhaust for the '06 3.9 LTZ about 7 or 8mos. ago. It's a stainless steel exhaust and it includes a High Flow Cat. It started out at $888 and dropped to $636. But now for some reason it back up to $888. As soon as I get back from Iraq that's going to be my first purchase. But my opinion, it's better than the Flowmaster 40 or 44 or whatever it is.

RE: Flowmaster Mufflers

I have the Delta Flow's on my LTZ and it sounds pretty good. I've had them on a lot of my cars and have never lost power or mileage. Probably has more to do with the pipe size and the way the exhaust is ran. Put I am too going to change to the Magnaflow Catback system for more power and not something as loud. You don't get the high flow cat with the catback system, just everything behind the cat. Go to hottexhaust.com and submit an offer I'll be getting mine for $550. Also for the 3.9L you'll have to get the MCSS kit to fit the cutouts, the other one won't fit right.

RE: Flowmaster Mufflers

Here is what I did, I went to a muffler shop by my work and all they did was cut out my two existing mufflers and removed them, then they welded flowmaster 40 series into the existing spots and I have 3.5 inch chrome tips welded on and they came out great. it cost me $300 to have done. It was the first performance add on.

Samething I did with pretty much the same tips. Looks good and sounds good. But I have a buddy that wants to buy my mufflers and tips for a little bit less then what I bought them new.
