Default Expected MPG Increase?

I was just wondering what kind of mpg increase we should expect with a zzp 3 inch downpipe with high flow cat and wizaird CAI. I know if I hammer on it, it will be worse, but what should I expect if i drive like theres an egg under the pedal. I'm just curious as I will be ordering both tomorrow. Thank you

I'll let you know at the end of the week. I just got my 2.5 downpipe installed the middle of last week and already have an SLP CAI. I'll fill up my tank all the way and calculate my gas mileage.

When I did a 3" no cat and a cone, I was about the same up to about +1 mpg; but I was doing a lot of city driving at the time that could vary due to luck w/ the stop lights and such.

This is true, on this tank I did an unusually amount of running errands this past week. Maybe it was excuses to drive the car LOL!!!

It won't really increase your MPGs that much. It's hard to tell by driving the same way with the same circumstances each time. What is does do though is help your car breathe better, and help with some power WHILE maintaining the same MPGs, so you are getting more power with the same MPG and helping the engine.

So it's win-win. You won't ever have to buy another air filter though, so that's money saved :P (Just don't expect to make up the prices at the pump in a year)

Thank you. I ordered every thing this morning and sadly parted with $450...but its gonna be worth it. Hopefully they will be here by the weekend so I can install them. I'm not sending them in my stock cat. I can get $80 for it locally vs $50 in ZZP credit

wow, wish I would've realized that before I sent in the one off my gtp; I thought $50 was even pretty good for a scrap cat.

I've seen some on large trucks go for several hundred dollars. Turns out the price has gone down since I've turned in a cat similar to the monte's, but my boss will give me $50 for it, which is good since I owe work $200.

Just got my tracking number so everything should be in on Tuesday. Just in time to go to the track on Friday

Very Cool...You will LOVE the sound of the CAI...and power gain.

The gas milage may go up about 1mpg but not much more than that...at least on these cars, that was my experience.

I put a K&N FIPK on my 89 Silverado 5.7L, and holy crap literally 3mpg's better gas milage. So worth it on that.
