Exhaust Suggestions Needed (accidentally posted in the wrong topic

Still getting used to navigating through the forum haha. So I recently just installed my cool air intake by CAI in my 2007 3500 V6, which by the way is treating me in some type of way (in a good way). Now my next mini project is to decide what kind of exhaust work should be done. I really want a loud deep throaty sound that catches peoples attention like "wow that sounds like a sweet ride." So far some inexpensive ideas have come to mind, since I'm also on a budget. I was considering on doing a muffler delete or even take out the resonator as well and just do a straight pipe. But I have also considered on adding either a MagnaFlo or FLowmaster with a resonator delete. Idk though, shoot me some ideas please? or even drop some knowledge?

Magnaflows tend to have a nice deep mellow tone at idle but with some rpm they really come alive. I have always been a fan of their tone.

I'm considering dual magnaflow mufflers once I save up some money haha

I use magnaflows on my LS4 they are cool. Now with the Doug Thorley headers they are out right mean and nasty

Watch deleting the resonator as it will make the car very raspy!!

Oh boy I was gonna get mines deleted in the near future

Mine is deleted. On the LS4 at least it sounds good

Tad, the ls4 is a complete different animal compared to the 3800. I've heard many 3800 cars that sound great at idle or low rpm but above around 3k rpm there very raspy.

I still say the best sounding 3800 if a fairly quiet one unless your turbocharged then they sound best open downpipe.

:iagree: 3800s are tricky and it comes down to preference. I would prefer a pretty quiet one myself they have a different tone and are raspy when you open them up.

I have not heard a 3500 like OPs yet with exhaust could be a little different story.
