Cold Air Inductions Silicon Elbow?

Hey everyone, so I received my CAI system today for my 2006 LTZ, and it was made clear in the manual that the silicon elbow wasn't available for my particular system. Does anyone know off hand if that is because it isn't needed for my system, or will have have to find a similar piece to complete it? I'm trying to find out before I begin to install it. Thanks

Because they don't believe it is needed, as it doesn't pose to be a restriction on their flow tests.

Since this thread is a few weeks old, I'm guessing you already got things sorted out, in fact I think I recall speaking with you on the phone. You will use the oem piece coming from the throttle body to form your connection between the MAF housing and Air Filter. Like the poster above mentioned, basically if we included a silicone connection with the kit it would just add cost and no real benefit to the system. Given the fact that the piece is so short and straight, and is after the MAF, changing it wouldn't give you anymore performance. Thanks for choosing Cold Air Inductions Inc., we really appreciate your business and support, and would love to see a photo of your installed CAI!
