CAI Inductions question.
 

For my fellow 7th gen people, who have ordered a CAI inductions or any cold air set. I was wondering for the bottom piece, where our computer is, is it covered or open with the Filter sticking above it? If anyone could PLEASE take pictures, I plan on fabricating my own this summer with my friend, and this has been a ongoing question for me.

Is the computer covered or open? And how far does the box extend down to keep the stock holding place for the computer held in? If anyone could answer these questions id appreciate it. Or better yet take pictures for me? ^_^

Hey Man,

The computer is exposed and the filter just comes in above it. The PCM bolts to the bottom of the CAI and the BCM bolts to the side.

The box is as deep as the length between the upper radiator support (car color painted frame around engine bay) and it goes down the same depth as the where the stock box rested. If you look through my pictures on my page here, I am pretty sure I have some with the CAI installed.

:iagree: I have some pictures somewhere of my install but everything is bolted up nice in there.

I lost my screws to the stock set up. Anyone know what type of screws it was? Or any good replacements? lol, I have replacements but they suck :/

what screws exactly?

The ones that bolt the MAF up to the box door.
