95 MC Z34 Exhaust choices? What do you guys think?

Hello All,
I am going to redo my stock exhaust system since my car needs to get smogged this year, this gives me the chance to upgrade and make my car sound better. The setup I plan on installing is a Magnaflow cat followed by 2 Dynomax muffler with 93-current flat Camaro Z28 tips, or should I go with Magnaflow Mufflers. I really don't want Flowmaster as they will be too loud, I want something more on the mellow side something that will sound good and help with my performance. Please let me know your input on this.
thanks for your time.

My super 44's aren't loud at all.

They are designed for the deepest growl on the market.

Check out my car domain page that is in my sig.I have Flowmaster Delta Flow 40's and they sound pretty good to me. If you want something not as loud go with either Magnaflow or Dynomax. Dynomax is a pretty quiet muffler just to warn you, Magnaflow is somewhere in the middle of Flowmaster and Dynomax, but all have a good sound to them. If you want performance you can either buy a catback system or have one custom made. Changing just mufflers won't do much for performance, just get the sound from it, if you want performance and sound go for catback.

the magnaflows will be loud too... they have a straight thru design... the flow masters have a baffled chamber that creates reflections to increase some sound and reduce other parts of the sounds. not sure on the dnyonmax thing. but i love my magnaflow...

With it being a DOHC motor i would say your best design would be to leave the stock down pipe and cat. as the stock cats in these cars flow pretty well. unless yours is clogged. from the cat do a single 2.5" magnaflow muffler atleast 14" long for the main body. then run to the tail and split to tips... if that is too loud you can add either a longer magnaflow muffler or do what i did and put a glass pack in where the second resonator was.

my car has a nice deep sound at idle and a comfort able sound when driving and crusing but when i step on it... you cant really talk anymore ....

before this setup i had the just the cat, magnaflow muffler and had it exit to a side pipe next to the passanger wheel... that was loud at any speed. talking on the phone wasnt an option any more. and my ears started to hurt after week

here are a few pics of what i have done... if you go to my website www.z34phoenix.piczo.com you can see videos of my car runing at the track
