06 lt exhuast

I have a 06 monte lt 3.5l ...
I don't really do anything to my cars, I just had the bumpers and hood repainted to get rid of rock nicks from the road etc
They did a awesome job. While inspecting it I noticed pretty much my exhaust system from the muffler to the resonator is rusted out with a big hole in the resonator.(50k miles even) I always like the look of dual exhaust but never bothered to get it. Since it is time to replace I am thinking of getting it now.

Would this be good ? I seen some for 900 but that is a bit to much for me.
Should I grab that(or something else you may suggest) or should I try and see if a local place can fabricate me some kind of exhaust system ?

Not looking for something that sounds tough, thou if it does great. Just something better then stock I guess and keep $$ in my pocket.

I'm more for going to a local shop, it's usually cheaper and they can do it just how you want it. I went the route of a local shop and ended up spending under $300 for both mufflers, tips, res delete and install.

coming from a man who bought a cat back system, don't. follow Garret's advice. I ended up having mine cut out and straight pipes from a glasspack back :)

I'd say probably unlucky, but I no longer have mine in to compare, last I looked all the stock tubing was still okay at whatever I'm sitting at now, around 60k
