This is a general picture thread for wrecked or totaled Monte Carlos. Not the coolest thing to post about but it is interesting to see.

If you've had a Monte Carlo in a wreck and/or it was totaled, or maybe not yours but one you saw in person, in a news article, etc., post those damage and aftermath pictures here. If it was yours, maybe a little story behind what happened. Lets see how those Monte Carlos fared.

If possible, include the year and general location of the incident.

 

I'll start it off.

2010, the aftermath of my 2003 SS when a lady in a 2nd Gen Blazer, making an unprotected left-hand turn at an intersection, turned right in front of me as I had a green light and was moving at 45 mph. Mine hit and turned about 100 degrees, stopping dead in the middle of the intersection, while I sent her truck 30 feet the opposite direction into the corner of the intersection. I hit the front passenger corner of her truck and pushed the truck's front passenger tire into its firewall.

Washtenaw Co., Michigan. Car was totaled out. Unfortunately what happens when someone else is clearly not paying attention.

2014, incident in Ypsilanti, Michigan involving an Amtrak passenger train and a 6th Gen.

 

2013, this is the aftermath of Ryan's (slowmontecarlo) Turbocharged 1999 LS. Incident happened in Wayne Co., Michigan; driver in a pickup truck ran a red light. Car was totaled.

Your yellow Monte was very gorgeous too. My mother's friend has the exact same one but no where near that condition. Sad what happened to it. I am assuming it was a write off, Matt?

Jerry, I recently saw those same pictures of the 4th Gen you posted. Do you know what happened?

2013, incident in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Car was found wrecked and hanging in trees alongside Highway 51 after driver fled a shooting; driver was found at the scene and supposedly survived.

HAWESVILLE, KY (WFIE) -
Hancock County officials are investigating what caused a driver to wreck early Tuesday morning near Hawesville.
It happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Highway 60 and State Route 2181.
Police officials tell 14 News Sheldon Sharp hit a curb, slid down the road and hit a telephone pole before ending up in a small building.

University Hospital of Louisville tells 14 News that Sharp is not listed at the hospital anymore. Hospital officials would not confirm his death, but friends of Sharps' are posting condolences on his family member's Facebook.
