Winter update....

Well its been awhile since I introduced myself and told ya my plans for the MCSS I purchaced, so I figured I'd catch ya up and show ya progress.

The plans for this car was a DD with a sbc 355, well winter hit and plans changed. I found myself with a extrs BBC in the garage, so I delievered it to the machine shop for a freshing. It came back as a 502 with Racerite 320 heads and a custom hyd roller camshaft. We kept the compression down to a friendly 10.5:1 for pump gas. Built a 200R4 as good as they can be built and went with a aftermarket posi with 3.73's. Located all my brackets and ass. for alt., power steering, and of course A/C.

Its taken me a week of building and fabbing, but its coming along great. Should be driving it in a few days. Here's some pics, enjoy.

Yes it fits under a stock hood!!! But a 4 inch bolt on cowl hood is on its way to my house.

Got alot of cleaning up on the "little" things to do yet, but all in all I think its gonna be a fun driver!!! Paint shop is next, as soon as the snow/ice hit here, it'll get dropped off for paint.

Outstanding! Since the BB fits nicely underhood I'd pass on the scoop, but I like the sleeper approach when it comes to physical appearance. ;) Looks great - Can't wait to see with fresh paint!

I really like the sleeper look also, but with many years of experience with racing, the top of the carb is way to close to the bottom of the hood. It idles at 1100 rpm with the hood open, but as soon as I close the hood it gets choked down to a flooded lope of 500-700 rpm. Just not enough air flow with the top of carb is cover up.

I'm gonna put a 265 drag radial on it and the 3 inch exhaust, then lower the stance alot. But not to low to where its in the dirt dragging exhaust or rubbing th rear tires.

As far as paint goes, its a toss up between leaving it white and doing a complete color change to silver. With silver being my favorite color, I leaning towards silver. Just not sure how slver with burgandy interior will work out.

You could do a white and silver paint job!
