Default Where is the “door open” sensor?

3rd day with the 2006 LTZ - 3rd strange problem... LOL!
half the time when I stop the car and open the door the radio doesn’t shut off and the interior lights don’t come on. I’m assuming there is a switch somewhere on the door or door frame for this, I just don’t see one.
Anyone able to point it out to me
The Car had minimal use for the last 2 years aside from being started and moved every few weeks by the previous owners (my in-laws) - so I’m not surprised things are acting strange... just wanna track them all down ASAP.

I've had the same problem, looked there, and didn't see anything. Is it possible that hitting the latch with PB Blaster might solve the problem.

Thanks for the replies!
i was guessing it had to be on there or at the hinge... but the hinge seemed less likely.
I’ll give the pb blaster a try first... it’s not quite bone yard picking weather right now

yea a shot of pb or something wont hurt, but eventually the real fix is just replace the latch mechanism .

Haven’t looked around yet, but I’m guessing there is a shop manual online for these beasts?
