What is my Dale Earnhardt Jr. worth?

Hello all! I've been doing a lot of internet searching, but I can't seem to find an answer, so I figured I should ask the enthusiasts!

My husband inherited a 2004 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Monte Carlo from his grandmother, and has been using it as his only vehicle for about 3 years. It's not in great shape, but it runs and has nearly all of its original items - missing the spoiler and a couple of decals. I would consider it in "Fair" condition, and we'd like to sell it sometime soon.

What is the value of a car like this? Mostly everything it needs is cosmetic, so I see it being fixed up by someone easily. I can only seem to find its resale value as a 2004 Monte Carlo, and not as a collector's item. Any ideas about what we should be asking, and where we might get takers for this particular car?

Thanks!
Michelle

You can go to Kelly Blue Book and look it up. So doing that I Used your Fair Condition and You didn't indicate how many miles it had so I used 100,000 just for reference and after all the options I know this car has I check those and the final price to sell it privately came to $5623.00 This is a central US price, it might be more if it is a car in a climate that wouldn't Promote rust. I did look at one earlier this year it was just a Black SS with all the bells and whistles leather etc. 48k and I could have bought it for $6400.00 it was near excellent shape. They sold it before I got back to them. Hope that helps.

Based on what you described, i'd say $5000 to maybe $6500. Depends on mileage and exactly what decals are missing. These cars aren't exactly collectors cars like some may think.

No way to tell with the info given.

Some thoughts:
-Id start a new thread rather than tagging on to an 8 year old one. Some people scrolling through may never make it down to your post.
-We'd need some actual details on the car - mileage, title type, major car history items (big wrecks, major service, etc.)
-More pics would improve accuracy - at least one of the interior to assess condition
-How is the rust?
-Whats the deal with the handful of stickers - does it actually have those parts inside? I've seen people do a NASCAR theme on these, this is just a bit unusual as there's only a few of them.
-Whats the deal with the headlights/ front end? Those don't match up with the noted year (2006). Was it wrecked and put back together with older year parts?

Yeah, that's why I asked if it had been wrecked or something and put back together with older body parts. Given they typed out 2006 twice (the post title and post body), I wouldnt think it would be a typo.
