what kind of engine cleaners have you used?
Just wondered what kind of engine cleaner everyone has tried and their opinions about them. I hear a lot about seaform but to me it sounds crazy pouring it int he engine while its runnign and getting it to stall n shut off :wtf: sounds scary to me not that im against trying it just asking what everyone else has used/tried and what they thought about it. My car has 77,800 miles now so I was looking for some tips on how to keep it running as good as it has been since the miles will only go up.

So... internal cleaners? lol
Seafoam here. It is 100% Petroleum. It is as harmful to your engine as water is to your skin. |
I've honestly never used any.. should I? lol :rotfl:

There's a good chance it is clean. Mine was at 150k miles. Barely smoked at all.
But taking the TB off and giving it a good cleaning was nice :) |

It's pretty simple. Mine was pretty bad but remember my car was 10 years old when I purchased it with about 53,3xx miles. Hardly ever freeway. It smoked quite a bit - but with me I do quite a bit of freeway and I do rev the piss out of it sometimes.
My truck on the other hand (it's due for an oil change in June so I'll do it then)... Oh @&#$ - I think it'll be pretty bad. I don't stall it out with Seafoam though, I shut it off with the key. I don't want to chance hydrolocking it. Mine did knock pretty good a few times when it almost died from me pouring too fast (as it was coming back up). |
