I have Sylvania SilverStars in mine...they are a **** ton brighter and much whiter than stock bulbs, and they aren't too expensive. You can find them at any decent auto parts store. Or if you want to go really bright. go with an HID kit. A little pricey...almost 300 for the kit and installation.

I agree with the SilverStars. I had bought some bulbs off of ebay that were tinted blueish. I couldn't see anything when it rained. Silverstars all the way.

i have the nighthawkes in mine, i like them more than the silverstar's, i had the silverstars in my truck then changed them to the nighthawkes, waaay better, then put nighthawkes in my car

but if your going for the bluey look dont get the nighthawkes, they're just really brite

I just installed the Silverstar Ultra's in my Cobalt, and man they are BRIGHT and so clear, a pure white light, I would highly recommend them!

Any suggestions for a brighter driving light that fits in the stock bulb socket?

That won't melt the light. :D
