Wax Your Windshield! Feel Saver In Rain.

My brother told be about this.
I thought is was a load of crap.

I put two coats of wax on my windshield.
Buffed it with an Electric Buffer.

The rain doesn't splash together and obscure the road between wiper sweeps.
It beads and gets lifted with the slip-stream.
You can see better between the wiper arm sweeps and new blades take all the water off the shield.

so, my question is, what is it, who makes it, let us know, thanks, is it just normal wax,

Cully77 06-06-2009 06:08 PM

why not just rain-ex?

You can use any wax. Another tip is to clay bar your windshield before you wax it to get all the crud off to make it (excuse the pun) smooth as glass!

I use rain-X, works awesome! On the highway you really don't even needs your windshield wipers...

Thats what i also do. WHen ever i claybar and wax the car, i hit all the glass too.

I've just recently heard you can do this too. I'll try it when I wax my Monte.

personally I prefer to invest in a good set of blades. (bosch icons)

I never liked rain-x or the equivalent. the beading and moving around while driving, and then the dirt off the trucks going all over the place, it was never my cup of tea.

be careful though some waxes say not to use it on windshields and glass. my brother found out the hard way on this out a coat of wax on and then about a day later the glass got a film on it and when he went to wipe it away it just smeared and made it worse.

But i just use rain-x and dont really have to use the wipers when i am driving

+1
I live and breath by the Bosch Icons! The 2nd day of owning Silver it snowed and there were crappy blades on the car when I bought it, so I hurried over to the nearest auto parts store and bought em!
