stupid question, I have same problem with my 01 SS, water sloshing in door after heavy rain, your idea of drilling hole seems ideal solution-the question is (and now think blonde) how do I locate "LOWEST part of Door where water could pool"? isn't door bottom all the same "height"?

Open the door completely, look along the bottom and pull back on the weather stripping. You'll see the current drain holes there, and if you want to drill and widen them, you will see the holes to start with.

I am just guessing here? But if it was mine and I am looking for the low spot on the Bottom of the door. I would use a strait edge ( like a level or a metal yard stick) place it against the bottom of the door and if there is a lower point the strait edge will rock a little. That is where the center point would be. Mark it and you can drill a hole.
The Weather Strip at the edge of the door and window must be deteriorated and may need to be replaced so the water will not infiltrate the door. Check with a local body shop to see if they can repair it.
