When we rented the '06 2LT to make the trip from Dayton, OH to Nashville, TN and the 2006 Monte Nats we filled the tank on the car one time. ONE time.

Nice car by the way.
(next time you come across the border in it we're keeping it)

Actually there is a reason for this and it is the design of the float in the tank and the shape of the fuel tank.

Here is a great sight that will explain it and on the 3rd page has an animation that will explain it.

I've worked IT for over 10 years now, I was surfing the net in 1992 via a company called Promonade and had to call 104 miles away for the nearest ISP on a 2400 baud modem, I still own a Commodore Vic-20, Apple II GS, 2 IBM 486's, 2 Compaq 500's (one being used to play Final Fantasy VII as we speak), 4 homemade pc's in various states, the laptop I'm running on now, and literally a closet full of old parts (8 interal modems from 14.4K+, 6 motherboards, SIMMS from 2MB to 16MB, etc)

I think that is a definative yes to being a geek.

Oh yeah, and last week I was playing D&D 2nd edition.
