Default Water-sloshing problem solved!

Hey guys.

Successful repair!

According to the Chev dealer I took it to, the "coolant cross-over gaskets" were leaking. The gaskets were replaced under warranty, and the sloshing sound stopped. No further issues regarding the heater either.

I brought the car in under appointment around 11am. They had it done by 3:30pm that same day. Awesome!

Unrelated: Just got a new battery as well, to replace the factory one that lasted me four years and 46K miles. Not a bad lifespan.

Aren't there drains in the door instead of plugs? I think there are two drains on both ends of the bottom of the door.

They can pretty much get plugged.

I had pulled the carpet out of my 02 Monte and noticed the foam under the carpet on the passenger side under the seat area was water logged. I'm thinking it came in from the door as the crack in the bottom door opening seal had water in it. The rear drain of the door was open, and the front drain had some crud in it. I cleaned out both doors. I did notice on my leak check small amounts of water coming in from the bottom of the door speaker housings on both sides. I guess they didn't have that sealed off good enough.

The suck thing is they used foam glued to the bottom of the carpet instead of a seperate replacable jute piece. I'm going to try and let the foam dry out as much as possible as I'm not too interested in having to replace the carpet just because of water logged foam that is glued to it.
