Default U-bend delete???

Hey guys just a quick question. I know it's gonna make me sound dumb and what not but i dont care at this point lol. So what is a U-bend delete? I know it has something to do with the exhaust system but I'm not sure what. I've heard that I need to do something to it whenever I get magnaflow mufflers but what do I need to do? Me and my friend were going to work on our mufflers at the same time but neither one of us really know what you have to do with the U-bend delete and if it's even something we could do ourselves. Like I said, kind of a dumb question but oh well lol. Thanks!

i know what mufflers i want. and that i need a downpipe from ZZP and the 304 powerlog or whatever it is called lol. but i can't really afford those two extra parts before christmas (which is when i want the mufflers on by) but is there like any way i could put the mufflers on and then go back and take it to a shop for them to put the other two mods a couple months later???? also how do i go about doing the U-bend delete stuff and the resinator???? and is there anything else i need to be aware of if i do it myself?

well the u bend is right after the cat, cut it out weld a straight pipe in & move ur o2 sensor to the side, & the resinator is right after all that just cut it out & put a straight pipe in, ur car will get a lil louder after all this, but thats about it as far as those 2 parts not too dificult

Once you get the zzp downpipe your u-bend problem will be gone. It doesn't have the u-bend in it. Then you can get the mufflers install and the resonator removed.

so would it be easier to try to pull through and get the DP rather then dealing with trying to cut the U-bend out?

Yeah, don't get the u-bend delete. Like already mentioned, the ZZP downpipe removes the u-bend automatically. Just save your money for the ZZP downpipe and you will be better off, and also have an extra $60 in your pocket, or whatever the u-bend costs. Have fun working on the car though!

If you're going to get a power log and a DP from zzp I would. The Power Log from zzp fits the stock DP so it wouldn't be a problem getting the PL later whenever you can afford it, same with removing the resonator and installing the mufflers. Keep in mind that once you exchange the DP your car will through a code regarding the O2 sensor after the cat so you may want to invest on a O2 simulator from zzp and install it when you do the DP.
