trim removal

Does anyone know how the trim that runs under the door from the front wheel to the back comes off? It covers the rocker panel. Already removed the screws and plastic clips but it wont budge.

It may have some sealnt or rust proofing that's holding it in place since you removed all the clips/retainers etc... Other wise, I believe it should pretty much fall off.

what stump said is correct. on some models(honda for example) you need to slide them a couple inches forward or back. im not sure what type of retainers are used on the monte but if you go to the dealer and ask to see the clips for the rocker molding you can get an idea of whats holding it on.

im guessing the clips on the inside of the molding(not visable to the eye) are holding it on. a clip removal tool can be inserted between the rocker and the molding to get them to let go.

SSemed liked it might have been glued. Just dont want to break it. Will have to try and slide it one way or the other.
