To those with the 07 V8's
 

What type of gas mileage are you getting? I might be able to get a killer deal on an 07 and wondered why loss in gas mileage I would have compared to my 03.

i've heard of as low as 13.... as high as maybe 18 city .. but not mine of course, mines an 03

I have a o4 Monte SS but my other car is a 07 Impala SS. It has the 5.3 V8. Same as Monte version the engine has a fuel management system that turns off 4 cylinders when you are not on the gas. Around town I get 14mpg and on the highway I get 23 mpg. If you want to romp on the gas you don't want to know how bad it can get.

When I first got my 2007 SS Monte Carlo I got around 28 on the highway and 17 in the city, now I get 33 on the higway and 18 in the city, thats driving about 70 on the highway.

I have an 06 SS and i get 22 to 23 mpg at freeway speeds in town im lucky to get 15

I have been averaging 19-20 MPG overall with mine.

LOL take foot off gas...and you might get some better milage. Arent you the one that said you drive @ 3000 rpms? Thats like over 100 mph.
