Supercharged fuel question

Good Morning Everyone,

I have been curious if anyone still has a stock 6th Gen Supercharged car without any modifications and if so what kind of fuel mileage are you getting. I personally get 23.8 but that's putting my foot in it to hear the Supercharger a lot :)

My Monte details: 2004 with 118,000 miles (no engine leaks or problems).

24mpg sounds pretty decent to me. Do you feel it's good, or low?

And what octane are you running on the car?

Wow, I was getting about 18 stock driving the way you describe.. Ive since done quite a few things to the car so there would be no comparison now..

I put 93 octane most of the time except when I rush and put 87 in it. I don't feel any difference. It runs so good and strong with either. I intend to do a full upgrades in the future. I appreciate both of your feedback.

Bone stock car. I average 17ish most of the time

I average 17 with a 3.1 pulley in town, ~26 hwy

Oh man, you shouldnt run 87 (or even 89) on a supercharged 3800.. Theres stories all over the other forums about damage from using less than premium fuel on the l67s..

Be careful with that.. Just a suggestion.. Id hate for something catastrophic to happen from such an easily preventable issue..

They say if you absolutely MUST put in lower than 91 (which I dont even like it that low) to be sure to stay out of boost..

I know I should always put in 93 and I intend to in the future. I always put additive to the tank as well. I really enjoy this forum. A lot of knowledge and always helpful.

The hard thing about these comparisons is that it really depends how the car is used. There's almost a 10 point spread from city to highway, so the mix of driving alone can have a huge impact.

With that said ~24 mpg sounds pretty good to me. That's definitely in the same ballpark I used to get in my GTP.

23.4 running 87 got 26 on 93 to managed 30 driving out of town with headers and a bad O2 sensor
