Snapped left front wheel stud
 

So after i finished putting on 4 new calipers because 2 of 4 were seizing and putting on the new lower control arm and tie rods, i started torquing my wheels to 100 ft pounds ( Specs recommended 103) Went through 24 out of 25 lug nuts and the last one snapped on me before i was able to get it to click :( So now i need to replace it. How hard is it to do and what part number is it ? or is it just a general thing to call up Napa and say i need this part? Teacher recommended i get it from the dealer, what do you guys think and has anyone replaced a stud before? Thanks!

Its a real simple fix....

Get a good size BFH...and punch to knock it out the back of the plate(hub)..
Take it with you...and go to your local auto parts and have them look it up...and use the broken one to be sure he got you the correct one....
Also get a few washers that fit it...(5 0r 6 should be more than enough)
Push the stud back thru the hole like it should be...add the washers on the opposite side (where the threads are) and use the stud nut to tighten against the washers to repress the stud in place...Once its seated in place...remove the washers...instahl your tire back on the vehicle...and your all set!

It's not to hard to do.. I do it all the time on mail trucks at work..

So i dont have to take the hub off?

Shouldnt, but itll be a tight fit

I took mine off when I replaced a stud, just need a vice and a hammer, pound it out and pound the new one in.
