screen on throttle body?
 

I'm sure it's there to act as a filter, but darn it looks restrictive. Has anyone removed theirs?

yes i have removed mine and it took teh miss that my car had in it out. Was great LOL

the only thing it is there for is to "smooth out air flow and make it flow better threw there.

Honestly my car runs smotther with out it. i saved mine so i could replace it if i wanted to but i have no want to put it back. take out the C clip with a pair of needel nose pliers just grab it by the opening it is not a true C clip so dont bend it up . the screen wil come out real easy then i put the clip back in it sits tight enough it wont come out of there.

I removed mine... Much better air flow. Unlike Mickey, I pretty much distroyed my screen when I removed it..

it is a easy mod. mine was still real tight on there so i used a small amount of W-d40 VERRY small amount to get the hose to slide back on easy. just make sure when you do it you get the bottom of that hose on there tight again.

I would think you do. I just took mine off. Not too much involved, but I damaged the screen. No big deal though, I can always get one from a gm parts dealer for $14 if needed.

yep al of the montes have them on the TB they are to help guid the air flow but in reality they restrict it more then help it.

then maybe I'll take it off whenever I replace the intake
